The artifact linked above is a booklet that my classmates and I created, we all chose an Instructional Strategy and completed research about that strategy. We compiled all of our information and created a Google doc about what we had learned about that specific strategy. I picked concept mapping and I learned a lot about the variety of how many different concept maps there are. I also learned how teachers and students can use them in a multitude of different settings and topics. This artifact aligns with Standard #4 Content Knowledge as concept maps are great tools to expand and deepen content knowledge for students while connecting and comparing to existing and new knowledge.

This assignment expands my pedagogical knowledge and improves my future practice as an effective educator as I can use my own research from creating the concept map page and integrate it into my classroom. With this instructional strategies booklet, I can use it in the future and pick and choose which strategies I want to use in my classroom on a daily basis. While others I can use ever so often when I want to switch things up, and possibly guide students to learn and think differently. With the instructional strategies booklet, I can use it for figuring out how students work best, and use it for different types of learners.
