My Why

My “why” for teaching comes down to one simple thing: kids inspire me. I love seeing the spark in a student’s eyes when something finally clicks, or when they’re excited to share their ideas. Teaching gives me the chance to help students believe in themselves, even on the days when they doubt what they can do.

For me, it’s not just about teaching lessons, it’s about building connections, celebrating small wins, and creating a classroom where students feel safe, cared for, and encouraged to try new things. I want my students to leave my classroom knowing that mistakes are part of learning, that their voices matter, and that they are capable of more than they realize.

My “why” is the joy of being part of their journey, cheering them on, helping them grow, and preparing them for all the adventures ahead. I want to make learning something that feels exciting and meaningful, because every child deserves to feel valued and inspired.
